Emma turns out to be the least favorite heroine from all of Austen's novels. I get it. I see it. And yet, I challenge you to journey through this book with us. I did a ton of research about Austen for this—partly because Emma was her fave—and I think you'll be surprised by at least some of what I learned.

This is Jane Austen's most controversial and/or disliked heroine according to the Internet.
