“A wonderful fact to reflect upon, that every human creature is constituted to be that profound secret and mystery to every other.”
― Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities
It's Dickens, so the opening is dense. What's easy to forget is that Dickens was writing this for readers who lived only sixty years removed from the French Revolution. If you skipped this (like I did) in school, I think you'll wonder why after listening. It's SO worth a listen!
